While Lucy was raised, educated and has a place in her heart for the Great Lakes, she is based in the foothills of Western PA, Pittsburgh.
She established her reputation in editorial illustration early on and very naturally moved into illustrating other people’s books (nonfiction). Her work has appeared beyond the printed page through collaborations with chefs and farmers, apparel & home goods, advertising, brand identity, way finding and surface design. Once a drawing she did was made into a corn maze which is pretty wild.
Over the years she has had the opportunity to guest lecture at colleges and universities, design firms, and on stages at professional events. She has received awards for her editorial work and has served on several selection juries. A full CV is available upon request.
Lucy has found continued joy in working on beautifully designed nonfiction books by passionate people. Currently, she is looking for an opportunity to create picture books and is open to project inquiries.
